  • U14 girls’ hockey into regional finals on Thursday 14th November after qualifying through their county round.
  • 1st VII netball into regional finals in January after qualifying through their county round.
  • 1st XI girls’ hockey into National Cup Round 3 – we play Rugby School on Thursday 7th November in our sports hall.
  • U16As rugby were undefeated this term – they are currently the only team in the UK with an unblemished record.
  • 1st XV Champions Trophy quarter finals away at Hampton on Wednesday 6th November after a thrilling one-point victory away at Hurstpierpoint College before Half Term.
  • 1st XV defeated Oundle School on Saturday to regain the, ‘Rod Millington Memorial Trophy’; Xavier Cranwell presented ‘The Boot’ to Dr Maloney in Chapel on Monday.

On Sunday, we held our annual, ‘Celebration of Sport’, with pupils from all Houses competing in archery, basketball, fives, climbing, lacrosse, ultimate frisbee, shooting, rowing, squash, table tennis, triathlon, volleyball and water polo. In was fantastic to walk around the USSC and The Leicester playing fields, watching many pupils playing and enjoying sport. Our purpose is to, ‘Discover and Develop the Best in Every Individual Through Engagement in Sport’. Hopefully, some pupils will have discovered a new activity that they enjoy and want to continue in the future – who knows where it could lead them?

The overall girls’ winners were Constables, with Meadhurst winning the boys’ competition. The prize for, ‘House Spirit’, was given to Samworths’ and Archie Hogan was presented with the, ‘Individual Spirit’ award.
